NEW YORK – The odds have been posted of which Phase One Avengers will end up dying in Avengers Endgame when the movie releases this Friday.
Say Goodbye To Captain America
The odds have Captain America as the most likely to die in Endgame. He currently is coming up even with 1/1 odds of dying. This comes to a surprise to nobody as Chris Evans hinted on his Twitter account that his role as Captain America meets its end with Avengers Endgame.
This was heavily rumored to happen ever since Avengers Age of Ultron was released. Evans said at the time he only had three movies left on his contract, meaning Endgame would be his final film. Evans has also said that he wanted to leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) on his own terms before he was forced to leave by the creators.
"You want to get off the train before they push you off," said Evans.
Upcoming Movies Might Save Other Avengers
Rumors have been flying around about upcoming Marvel movies. This has led oddsmakers to believe that Black Widow is the most likely to survive at the end of Endgame. There is an upcoming Black Widow standalone movie in the works and that has given her 10/1 odds on her dying in Endgame. But the rumors also say that the standalone movie is likely to be a prequel, so she is not completely safe just yet.
Thor is in a similar situation but with worse odds. Thor currently has 5/1 odds on him dying in Endgame even though there are rumors that a Thor solo movie is in the works. Hawkeye is currently sitting at 8/1 odds of surviving. This is likely due to the fact that he has been reportedly going to star in his own Disney+ series.
Odds On Other Phase One Avengers
Iron Man seems to be on death's door according to the odds. Iron Man has 2/1 odds of dying during Endgame. This is likely due to his pivotal role in the movies and the fact that there have not been any new movie rumors for him. Lastly, the Hulk is tied with Hawkeye with 8/1 odds of him surviving in Endgame. Like Iron Man, we do not know what future roles he will play in the MCU.
