  • Michigan online revenue fell short of Pennsylvania in March.

DETROIT — After launching in January of 2021, the Michigan online gambling market has gone nowhere but up as they have reported a revenue for online gambling of $95.1 million in the month of March alone.

Even though the Michigan Gaming Control Board recorded what seems to be the highest revenue since their launch, it is still short of what Pennsylvania recorded in March which was just $3 million more at $98 million.

The Michigan online gambling revenue includes the combined numbers from all forms of online gambling in the state such as both online casinos and online sports betting as well.

Comparing their March revenue numbers to how they did back in February, it is up a little more than $20 million as online gambling in February reported just a $75 million revenue.

Looking at which operators are bringing in the most money to the revenue, there are 12 total operators in Michigan’s online gambling market right now. BetMGM, FanDuel, and DraftKings have the market on lock as the three alone reeled in $66.3 million in revenue. The remaining nine operators managed to bring in just $28.8 million in revenue.

As for the bets placed, the bets received saw an increase from March to April of 19.1%. The handle itself also saw an increase in money wagered per day as it went up from $10.8 million to $11.6 million.
