- Only four of the nine mobile sportsbooks will go live at first.

ALBANY, N.Y. - In an unexpected turn of events, New York is launching a regulated mobile sports market far earlier than expected.
New York Mobile Sports Betting Launch
On Saturday, New York legal gambling fans will be treated to the availability of a regulated mobile sports betting market, complete with a selection of four of the most popular US sportsbook operators to choose from.
This launch is surprisingly ahead of schedule, as previous reports were indicating a launch around the second or third week of January. The market instead launched in the first week, albeit at the end of said week.
What Mobile Sportsbooks Are Launching?
Although a total of nine sportsbooks have been approved to operate within New York's mobile sports betting market, only four are scheduled for the go-ahead.
- Caesars
- DraftKings
- FanDuel
- BetRivers
Five other NY mobile sportsbooks are sure to follow shortly.
- PointsBet
- BetMGM
- Resorts World
- BallyBet
- WynnBet
Additionally, Better Collective has signed three agreements for partnership with approved operators to bring more sports betting options to New York.
“Unlocking the fourth most populous state in the United States to mobile sports betting is a huge moment for Better Collective and our growing portfolio of US assets," said Marc Pedersen, CEO Better Collective. "We are strongly positioned and excited to continue delivering sports betting content to the many thousand sports enthusiasts from New York that visit our sites daily."
